Obituary of Virginia May Wilson Horn
Virginia May Wilson Horn went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:30pm, May 28, 2019. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her 95 years at 2:30pm, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Limon United Methodist Church, Limon, Colorado.
Virginia was born on October 7, 1923 to Walter and Elsie (Weber) Wilson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married Roy Richard Horn on December 19, 1944. She served her country as a “Rosie the Riveter”, and then continued to serve her country as both military wife and mother. Virginia Horn volunteered for many different organizations over the years including the American Red Cross; Limon CO Heritage Museum; Limon, CO United Methodist Church; Aldersgate Church in Lubbock, Texas; and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Richard Horn, son Richard Lee Horn, her brother Willard Wilson and her sister Dorothy (Dottie) Cox and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Karen, and her husband Bill Wrench of Lubbock, grandsons Rick Wrench of Aspen, Colorado and Jason Wrench of Rosendale, New York, and many, many beloved nieces and nephews, and greats, great-greats. Although she loved them all, one was extra dear to her heart, her namesake, Virginia Ann Lyons of Manila, Philippines.
