Obituary of Donald A. Lemley
Donald Alvin Lemley (Don) was born on October 14, 1931 in Colorado Springs Colorado to Harry Everett and Ester Pearl (Schnars) Lemley. He was one of three boys born to this union. He grew up and spent his adult life on the family farm in Simla Colorado that his father had owned. He attended two country schools the Kuhns Crossing and Cross schools before going on to high school at Simla. After graduation he married his sweetheart Eleanor Louie Woolsey on June 2, 1951, and they moved to Denver where he worked for a bakery. They moved back to the family farm shortly after their first child was born. They proceeded to take over the operation and of the farm and build a business in the Dairy Industry. Two sons were born five years apart during this time. They sold the Dairy in 1974 and Don started his career as an aircraft mechanic. He loved working on the airplanes especially the vintage aircraft often restoring them from the ground up. He became the shop Forman for Hedrick Beechcraft and enjoyed meeting many celebrities and a former President. He and Louise enjoyed their free time by traveling around the country on a Goldwing motorcycle. When they retired they enjoyed many short trips with their children. Don passed into the welcoming arms of his loving wife of 54 years on June 5th 2019. He loved his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren who survive him.

Special Interests: Model Railroad Building, Collecting Coins and Arrowheads, Building Model Steam Engines, Photography, Collecting toy Tractors and Riding Motorcycles.
