We are sorry for your loss. Mrs. Hugley was a longtime friend. Our children were fortunate to have her as a Sunday School teacher. They always loved the "Winkie Bear" stories that she so enthusiastically told. In recent years, I participated in women's Bible study with her. She enjoyed digging deeper into scripture and worked to apply Godly principles to her life. She fondly talked about her family. You were all special to her. Our prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Peggy and Randy

I was a 4th grader at Genoa School when "Miss Morgan" came to teach there. She soon became my favorite teacher, and I think I might have been one of her favorite pupils. How proud I was when, one year at Homecoming, as our class marched along in the Homecoming Parade, Miss Morgan came an walked as my partner, since there were an odd number of students.
Phyllis was always one of my favorite people, although I seldom saw her after she quit teaching. But she always remembered me when we did meet, and we enjoyed reminiscing about our times together at Genoa.
I especially enjoyed the slide show. It was very well done and brought back many fond memories, as well as reminding me of what an accomplished and dedicated lady she came to be.
I'm sorry to hear that she has passed. I know that she was very special to so many people and I will always remember her as a dear, sweet soul.

Phyllis was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher. The first year she was Miss Morgan until Christmas. It was really hard to learn to say Mrs. Hugley, but we finally did. She was such a special person then and still now. When you stopped to say hello, she always knew you from way back then. I am so sorry for your loss, as she was a very special lady and will be missed by many. Sharon Beacham Schafer
