Grandma, you were my best friend growing up. You taught me everything I know today. You taught me how to cook, sew, drive, blow bubbles, twirl a baton, and several times attempted to teach me how to crochet.. still to this day can only do a chain. All the late nights of uno and Chinese checkers and always making sure every holiday was the best, always going way beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted. I will forever have you in my heart, my so n, your oldest great grandchild, Raymond Lee Durham, and your oldest great great grandchild, Eli Ray Durham, we're lucky enough to meet you, unfortunately didn't get to be lucky as me to have you in their everyday lives. Fly high Grandma. I'll see you and Grandpa again one day. I love you.

Aunt Cookie was a special lady and we will miss her dearly. She and all our Melbuer family have been so much a part of our lives over the years. Some of the most memorable times were visiting Cookie and Art at their ranch and later in their assisted living homes in Colorado Springs. We used to kid her.that she was going to live to be 100 like Grandma Melbuer did, and she would say “no way;” but she came pretty close. Cookie is now back with Art and her Mom, Pop, sisters and brother and they are having a great reunion. Goodby Aunt Cookie and our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time with you when you were here with us, but it won’t be long until we will get to visit with you again.
