Obituary of Elsie Mae Killey

Elsie Mae Killey of Limon, Colorado, passed away March 26, 2019.  She was 91 years old.

Elsie was born in Limon, Colorado, on December 9, 1927, to Henry and Ann (Schloemer) Kunsch.  She grew up on a farm/ranch west of Limon and graduated from Limon High School. She married John Killey on November 20, 1948 and to this union were born two sons.

Elsie enjoyed bowling, quilting, horses and animals of all kinds.  She especially loved living in Eastern Colorado and spending time with her grandkids.  She attended the Pleasant Plains Community Church.

Elsie is survived by her companion Jack Walden of Hugo, Colorado, Jim Killey (Cindy) of Arvada, Colorado, and Jack Killey of Cora, Wyoming.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lara Killey of Hysham, Montana, Allie Killey of Arvada, Colorado and Eliza Killey of St. Augustine, Florida.

Elsie is preceded in death by her husband John J. Killey, her parents, brother Henry and sisters Anna Kunsch and Caroline Swanson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Limon Community Building.
