Obituary of Mike Mosher
Mike Mosher, age 67, of Hugo Colorado passed away on January 23, 2019. He was
born July 17, 1951 to Ray and Fritzi Mosher of Boyero Colorado. Mike was a devoted
father of Karen and Brian and beloved son and brother. He Graduated from Hugo High
School in 1969. He was raised on the family ranch near Boyero Colorado where he
helped with the daily tasks of ranching. There were many happy memories and stories
of growing up in the country. He continued helping out on the ranch and raising his own
cattle even after high school. He started his career as a combination technician at
Eastern Slope Rural Telephone Association. He worked for ESRTA for 34 years before
retiring in 2006. In 1997 he became the Lincoln County Fair Manager. He enjoyed
helping and visiting with people at the various activities at the fairgrounds for 13 years.
He was friend to all and never met a stranger. He had two children Brian and Karen
who were the light of his life. He enjoyed watching them grow and thrive. He would
help them in any way needed. After the loss of his son, him and his daughter became
closer than ever. They were each others support system. In his retirement years he
enjoyed going to auctions and collecting antiques, especially anything “Coors”. He
loved showing his collection to people and you would be shocked at what items had the
“Coors” logo. His daughter and friends called his house the “Coors Museum”.
He is survived by his daughter Karen Mosher and sisters Shirley Ciskowski and Susie
Mosher of Hugo, Colorado. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He
was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Fritzi, son Brian, sister Sharon, nephew
Scott and niece Tina.
A celebration of life will be held at Lincoln County Fairgrounds on February 16th from
2:00-4:00 PM.
