Obituary of Evelyn Marie Rector

Evelyn Marie Rector was born July 7, 1920 in Merna Nebraska to Anna and Henry Michele.   The family moved to a farm in Deer Trail in 1924.  Evelyn has lived in and around Deer Trail all of her life.  Evelyn married Robert Floyd Rector in 1938, they were married 57 years before Robert passed away in 1995.  She worked with Robert in the Jolly’s Store for several years then helped on the daily farm southwest of Deer Trail for years until the flood in 1965.  Evelyn went to work at the Deer Trail School as a cooks helpers for three years then went to Limon and was the head cook at the nursing home until she quit work in 1974. 

Evelyn and Robert loved to hunt and fish which they did for many years.

Surviving are; son Terry Rector and wife Shirley Rector, three grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and many wonderful friends.

Memorial Service is Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Deer Trail High School, 350 2^nd Ave, Deer Trail Colorado.  Reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, at 664 2^nd Ave, Deer Trail, Colorado.
