Bob and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Pat was so special, and I feel so blessed to have known her. Anytime I would come home or visit at lake, Pat always had a sweet welcoming smile, while she would squeeze my hand and give me a hug. She looked out for me as a child, and I could always catch her glimpse watching over me during those fun times home from college at South Side. Even more special my own boys were lucky enough to get to experience Pat’s love and caring nature. While she made me feel special, I know that she was like this with so many people and touched so many lives with her big heart and equally big smile. Pat gave me one of her beautiful hand painted jewelry boxes for my bridal shower, it has been on my dresser for almost 20 years and I’m so happy to have that beautiful piece to remind me of that beautiful lady. I pray for God’s comfort to you all. Love to all.

i have known pat since i was a small child. memories of her and my mom sewing together while i and my sisters watched and learned. she was always so kind and giving. as an employee of her and bob at southside for 16 years, i learned so much and cherish those memories. in cleaning and organizing their house for them for many years i had such a great time. her sewing room was a constant busy place. i remember trying to organize and hide from bob the things she wanted to get rid of and occasionally getting caught. we laughed so hard. pat was always so kind to my 3 children when i brought them to her house and she allowed them to be little helpers at southside. as adult children, she then hired all 3 of them to work at southside. my children literally grew up in southside and we all have the fondest memories. i will miss you pat younger, thank you for everything you ever did for me and my children.

I have so many wonderful memories of Pat (and Bob). It's impossible to think of Limon without including Pat and Bob! I remember how much she loved her family and would beam with pride when talking about her children, grandchildren and great grands. I can still see that smile. I have never met another couple who were in love as much as Pat and Bob and I have many memories of them dancing together, working side by side, giggling over something, hugging and all of those late night walks home.
One in night in particular sticks in my mind. The roads in and out of Limon we're closed due to an Oct. Snowstorm and Pat and Bob had kept Soutside open long hours for all the stranded travelers. The drifts we're high and it was cold. As they headed home in the early hours we (the employees) kept an eye on them as they attempted to cross the street. First Pat fell in a large snowbank. All you could see we're her feet sticking up out of the snow. Soon...Bob, trying to pull her out...ended up in the snow also. Now both of their feet were in the air. What a sight. Worried, some of us rushed out to help, only to find them laughing so hard they could barely breathe. This was typical of them... making the most of that particular moment in time. I think we we're all in tears by the time we got everyone to their feet.
She loved life. Her love for Bob and her family was undeniable and she loved all of us who worked for her over the years making us all a kind of extended family. She worked harder than any woman I know. She loved her community, the school, and people in general.
I feel honored and blessed to have known her. She will be missed. Prayers that all the wonderful memories you have of her will comfort you as you say your earthly good byes. Thank you Pat. You are loved by many!
