Obituary of Franklin Eugene Dine
Franklin Eugene Dine was born May 10, 1935 in Flagler, Colorado, the oldest child of Harvey and Mabel Dine. He passed away May 27, 2018 at the age of 83. He grew up in Flagler, Colorado, graduated High School and helped out on the family farm. He loved spending time with his friends on nearby farms, where he met Wanda Bassett. They were married on May 12, 1956, and lived in the Flagler area, where their daughters, DeVon and Vickie, were born. They moved to Ft. Morgan in 1960, and Frank worked for the City of Ft. Morgan for the next 20 years. During this time daughters, Terri, Deanne and Terisa were born. In 1980, Frank and Wanda returned to Flagler where he again worked on the farm that had been homesteaded by his grandfather. In later years, he joined Wanda in driving a school bus for the Arriba/Flagler School District and thoroughly enjoyed stacking hay for farmers throughout Kit Carson and Lincoln Counties. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in March, 2002, and was part of the Limon Congregation. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his daughter Deanne. He is survived by his sisters, Jane James and Myrt McKay, and his daughters, DeVon, Vickie, Terri and Terisa, eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Vistation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with services to follow Wednesday, June 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, Colorado.
