Obituary of Florence E Buck

Florence (Flo) Eileen Buck was born near Reliance South Dakota on August 15, 1921 to Alfred and Jenna Chrans.  She was the 11^th child of 15.  There were 9 boys and 6 girls who were all raised on a farm on the prairie with no running water and no electricity. Flo was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.

Flo married Virgil Larson (deceased) on February 2, 1938 and they were blessed with a daughter, Arlene Kay on July 10, 1940.

Flo worked as a bowling instructor and then as a waitress until she retired at the age of 86.

Flo married Robert (Bob) Buck in 1970 and moved to Simla, Colorado in 1976.  She and Bob enjoyed living in the small community.  They made many life-long friends and would often attend high school sporting events.  Flo always looked forward to the picnic in the park on Labor Day.

She loved her family and friends and always welcomed them into her home, making them delicious homemade meals and desserts.  Flo loved to laugh, have fun and see the best in people.  Her favorite hobbies were playing cards with her family and going up to Cripple Creek to see if she could hit the jackpot!

Flo will be sadly missed by her daughter, Arlene Kay, her 2 grandchildren, Monty (Danni) Hankins, Shawnda (Craig) Hamacher, her 4 great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kegan Hamacher and Bailey and Jaelyn Hankins, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Service for Flo will be Friday April 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Matheson Community Church at 36882 Broadway, Matheson, Colorado.
