Cheryl Stevenson(Rector) posted a condolence
Monday, March 26, 2018
It has been years, and years since I was in Deer Trail. I was married to Richard Rector and remember so many wonderful visits at Robert "Booper" and Evelyn Rector's home, and Ted and Eleanor would come by. A lot of times it would be just Ted. What great stories we would hear them tell. What a great generation of folks. I know that Eleanor had passed years ago, but now he is with his sweet wife. I send my condolences to the family during this difficult time. Ted lived a very long and wonderful life and I know he will be missed by many. Sincerely and God Bless, Cheryl Stevenson(formerly Rector)

It is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Theodore. Please accept my condolences. Also, be comforted in knowing that in God’s due time, he will forever eliminate all suffering on earth including death, as scripturally expressed in this video link:

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Ted was an amazing man. My daughter, Jazminn, used to take care of him at Prairie Creeks and kept visiting him every wk after she moved on in school. She loved him so fierce. I'm so glad they found each other. My heart is heavy for the loss of this man.

Our prayers go out to Betty Jean, Diane, and all of Ted's relatives and friends. It's so sad to lose someone who has been a part of so many lives including mine and my sister Delores. When we were kids our families would take turns every week having refreshments at the Montgomery's, then at the Lessy's. The adults would visit and us kids would play school. (Except Diane, she was too little). We always kept in touch with Ted and even more recent he would give me a call and we would have a nice visit. We were blessed to know him and he will definitely be missed by everyone who knew him.

Ted was such a great man, I'm honored to have gotten to know him during my time working at Prairie Creeks. He always treated everyone like they were family, and always had a ear to listen a hug to comfort and wise words of advice. Just knowing him and taking care of him changed my life. I will never forget him, my family will never forget him. I pray for comfort for all of his family and friends. He loved his family so much. I don't think I will be able to make it to the services but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

When I was still in high school, I used to go and sit in Ted and Eleanor's kitchen with Ted, and drink coffee. He always treated me like a friend, even though at that time I was just a kid. I always appreciated his friendship. I visited him when I went to Deer Trail, and I visited him in Prairie Creek a few times. He was a great man.

Ted was very dear to so many folks! I have many wonderful memories of him throughout my life. His always ready smile and cheerful disposition, and parting words of “you take real good care now” after each visit are things I will cherish. We were all blessed to know this gentle man.
My love to you all.
