Obituary of Thelma Hayes
Thelma Lavonne Bonnie Hayes, 87, of Genoa, Colorado passed away on May 7, 2015 in Hugo, Colorado.
Bonnie was born November 2, 1927 in Flagler, Colorado to Ord R. and Velma C. (Taggart) Miller one of four children. She grew up in Flagler, Colorado graduating from Flagler High School.
She married Elmer T. Hayes in Flagler, Colorado on July 16, 1947 and the couple was blessed with four children. Elmer and Bonnie moved to Genoa in 1978 and she enjoyed her community until her passing.
Bonnie enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching birds and she and Elmer loved to travel and go camping. She also loved to sew and everyone got an afghan that she crocheted. Bonnie loved her family and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildrens activities.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sister, Agnes Jane Miller.
She is survived by her children; Ron G. (Lynn) Hayes of Elbert, Colorado, Mark W. (Carole) Hayes of Genoa, Colorado, Pamela Sue Hayes of Littleton, Colorado and Angela G. (Henry) Bloodworth of Englewood, Colorado. Bonnie is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and siblings Lawrence W. (Shirley) Miller of Limon, Colorado and James W. (Verna) Miller of Flagler, Colorado.
It was Bonnies wish to be cremated and that no services will be held.
