Obituary of Jolette Hollingsworth
Jolette Joy Hollingsworth (73) of Strasburg, Colorado passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on May 20, 2015.
Jolette was born on April 20, 1942 in Denver, CO to Eugene H. & Joyce M. (Stenbeck) Wynne. She grew up in Colorado with her sister Jacqueline; they were always inseparable. On November 26, 1959 she married Arnold Hollingsworth at First Presbyterian Church in Denver, CO. To this union one daughter, Linda, and one son, Brock, were born.
In 1960 she graduated from East High in Denver, CO and later went to work for the Department of Revenue for ten years. The family resided in Englewood, CO for thirty-two years. In September of 1999 they moved to Strasburg, CO where she spent the last sixteen years of her life. She was active in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Byers, CO. She was a helper here on Earth and she will be a helper in Heaven.
She believed everybody should have a quilt and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved to travel and had been on an Alaska cruise, traveled to Canada, up-state New York, Arizona, Washington State and Oregon. She stayed busy following her grand childrens activities during the school year and summer time. She had a great sense of humor and people loved visiting with her.
Jolette was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Joyce Wynne and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Hollingsworth of Strasburg, CO; her son, Brock (Deborah) Hollingsworth of Strasburg, CO; her daughter, Linda (Gary) Helm of Denver, CO; sister, Jacqueline Sanders of Littleton, CO; her five grandchildren Joy Penk, Faith Vallero, Hope Helm, Adam Hollingsworth and Caleb Hollingsworth.
