Obituary of Forrest Miller
Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Forrest Newton Miller passed away April 26, 2006 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Denver. He was 76 years old.
Forrest was born on October 10, 1929 in Wellington, KS to Russell and Marian (Vaughn) Miller. He was the third of five children.
Forrest attended school in southeast Kansas and graduated in 1946. He then went on to complete one year of college at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas.
Forrest was a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church and the Burlington Lions Club where he held many offices.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Gwen, three sons; Keith Miller and his wife Patty, Kevin Miller and his wife Cathy and Kim Miller and his wife Marcia. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Matthew Miller, Travis Miller and Alexis Miller, two brothers; Bill Miller and his wife Johnine, Jim Miller and his wife Jan; two sisters Grace Lee and her husband Duane and Clari Bowers and significant other Lee Spate.
Funeral services for Mr. Miller were held on Monday, May 1, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Burlington with Reverend Jeff Babb officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation was held one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be made in Forrestâs name to the American Stroke Association and may be left at the Kit Carson State Bank in Burlington.
