Obituary of Oliver Einertson
Oliver Harold Einertson was born on May 29, 1925 to Clarence LeRoy and Mary Elizabeth (Mathesen) Einertson. He passed away on his 81st birthday, May 29, 2006.
Oliver was the oldest of six children. He attended Limon school until the 8th grade, after which he was needed to help on the family farm. He later achieved his G.E.D.
Oliver joined the U.S. Navy and served his country in World War II from 1944 to 1946. Oliver came back home and married his sweetheart, Lillian Hendrichs, on April 16, 1948. They were blessed with tow daughters, Joan and Susan.
Oliver was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith, and served on the Christ Lutheran Church Board for many years. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Joe Will Post 6612, and American Legion Post 31 in Genoa. He was an avid golfer, and a member of the Hugo Golf Club. He loved his time with his golf and coffee buddies.
Oliver worked for the Department of Agriculture, A.S.C.S., in Hugo for 28 years, retiring in 1985.
He enjoyed his winters in Coolidge, AZ for the past sixteen years. There he met many wonderful friends. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Arlene Norbye and Margaret Einertson and two brothers; Bob and Bill Einertson.
Oliver is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lillian Einertson of Genoa,CO. Daughters; Joan Sevey (Gary) of Springfield, MO, and Susan Andersen (Steve) of Arriba, CO, brother; Marvin (Carol) of Aurora, grandchildren Shane Brown (Toni), Tyler Andersen and Leigh Anna Andersen, and three great grandchildren, Keylee, Chandler, and Abbi Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends, Oliver was a loving husband, father, and grandpa
A funeral service for Oliver was held Friday, June 2, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO with Pastor Tracey Breashears officiating. Burial followed at the Genoa Lutheran Cemetery in Genoa, CO.
