Jeannie, Shawna and Jim; I was saddened to hear of "dad". I can still remember hearing him yell up at us girls to "get to bed and don't make me come up there". Then we'd giggle and could hear him laughing at us from the bottom of the stairs. I also remeber that one summer all of his tools suddenly turned purple(obviously his favorite color) and then he always knew what tool was "his". Hopefully your family will find peace in knowing that he looks down on you from his "stairway" in heaven. Just keep giggling and remembering the good times you shared. Thoughts and prayers, and even hopefully a giggle for all of you. Warm hugs from Arizona, Rachael (Brown) Buckley and family

I went to school for nine years with Daryl before moving to Deer Trail. We went to boot camp together, and to Viet Nam for our first deployment. He fell and broke his hand, so he went to another unit before redeploying, and I lost track of him. He was a good friend to all of his "Seabee" brothers. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeannie, Shawna, & Jim, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Every time we pass by Agate on our way to visit doctors in Denver, we think of all of you and wonder how everyone is doing. Once in a great while, we do run into Jim in the Colby Walmart. Bryan, Joanna and 3 kids live in Fountain, Colorado. Aaron, Amber and 2 boys live in Hastings, Nebraska. Bryan does computer work for government subcontractors. Aaron works for the government weather service. We are all busy. I still work for Brewster school while John is still trying to farm. Again, we wish to extend our sincere sympathy. Jeanie & John Johnson

I always loved how Daryl could "B.S." with the best! He was always so much fun to visit with. More than once I fell for some line of BS only to hear him laugh and shake his head with the expression that he REALLY was talking to a "blonde"! He will be missed.
