Obituary of Timothy Ellefson Jr
Timothy Cameron Ellefson Jr., 36, of Simla, Colorado passed away suddenly August 10, 2015 at his home.
Tim was born October 17, 1978 to Timothy and Cheryl (Merkel) Ellefson, he was one of three children. Timothy graduated from Simla High School in 1997. Later on he met Lori Evanoika and they were united in marriage on April 17, 2002. They currently have 3 children.
Tim loved stewarding animals and from a young age he was very involved within the 4-H program. He enjoyed mentoring other youth in the program by helping them learn and trying to instill a sense of accomplishment and pride within their achievements. As he got older, Tim started to compete in wild horse races; being a competitive contestant in every race. In 2000, he competed in the Professional Wild Horse Racing Incorporation Finals and won as a National Champion Mugger. Within the same year, Tim started the company Big Time Jr. Construction. Although Tim wasnt much of a hunter he enjoyed refining his skill as a marksman and teaching his family to shoot. Tim competed in the National Gas Rodeo as part of the Colorado Springs Utilities Gas Rodeo team. After Tim hurt his back working for his company, he became a coach, and then built up to be a chairman for the National Gas Rodeo Committee. Tim loved the rodeo and everything that went with it. An accomplishment that he was most proud of was his certification as an N.A.C.E. Level 3 technician. Tim was also the youngest supervisor that the natural gas department has ever had, which was a testament to his dedication to his job. He was always trying to achieve more and better himself and his family. Above everything else he was a dedicated father and husband. There was nothing in his life that was more important to him than his family. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with them and the love that he shared will be a piece of everyone who ever knew Tim.
