Obituary of Albert Brauer
Albert H. Brauer, age 70 of Calhan, Colorado passed away July 22, 2006 at Simla, Colorado.
Albert was born July 16, 1936 in Winnie, Texas to Dietrich and Lydia (Horstmann) Brauer. Albert graduated from Simla High School in 1954. Following graduation he worked in Denver at a foundry as a molder. In 1966 Albert started working for Nickells Tillage Tool in Simla. While working in Simla he also farmed and lived south of Matheson, Colorado. In 1982 he moved with the company to Sterling. Albert retired after 32 years in 1998.
Albert was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He enjoyed traveling and going south during the winter months.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Edward Brauer.
Albert is survived by one brother Wilbert and wife Ann Brauer of Denver, Colorado. One sister Christine and husband Kenton Mauck of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also surviving are four nephews, three nieces, eleven great nephews and nieces, a great great nephew and a great great niece. Albertâs second family Ralph and Willa Bell Turner of Simla, Colorado.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Love Funeral home in Limon with Pastor Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Calhan Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Love Funeral Home in Limon, Colorado.
