Obituary of Helen Cook
Helen Elizabeth Cook passed from this life on July 27, 2006 at the age of 91.
She was born October 7, 1914 in Arriba, Colorado. Helen was the daughter of William S. Winterowd and Cora Bell (Anderson) Winterowd.
Helen graduated from Hugo High School in 1936. On November 24, 1938 she was united in marriage to Merle Theron Cook and to this union four daughters and one son were born.
Helen spent her entire life in Colorado as a homemaker. She lived in Black Forest, Colorado, Fountain, Colorado and Flagler, Colorado before entering the Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Hugo, Colorado.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Merle, her three brothers; John, Raymond and Charles Winterowd two grandchildren; Leonard Norton and Clifford Beasley.
She is survived by her five children; Louise Beasley, Lucille Petty, LaVerna Hodson, Leona Banti and Lloyd Cook. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Helen will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services for Helen were held Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, Colorado with Pastor Jerry Allen officiating. Interment followed at the Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, Colorado.
