Brenda, I can not put into words how how much I will miss you. I have so much admiration for you, you were the glue. As with our agreement to never let Mackenzie and Marissa forget their mother, I promise you the same. KayCee will be taken care of and we will give Nathan the support that he needs, we will share the good memories. You gave this to me once and now I am giving it back to you. My Sister..My Friend Little sisters play in the breeze Mothering their baby dolls Busy as bees Disagree some, get in a fight Hug & make-up, giggle all night Grown up sisters rush thru the day On chores and demands That won't go away Disagree some, (not really a fight) Remembering, wishing For ONE childhood night Sisters grow up But some things don't end You're ALWAYS my Sister and my dearest FRIEND. Thank you for keeping me safe during the thunderstorms when I would get scared and sneak into your room. I know that those barking dogs weren't with a mean man coming to take children that weren't sleeping away. You must have gotten a good laugh out of that one! I will always love and miss you, my sister, my friend!

I was so sorry to hear about Brenda. I just saw her at the fair here this year, but didn't get to talk to her. I sure wish I would have now. Brenda came to our 20 year class reunion at my house 2 years ago. We were in the same grade here in Burlington when they lived here. I'll always remember Brenda's laugh. She was always happy and made me smile. My thoughts are with your family during this very difficult time.

Brenda: I am so sad that you are gone. I pray that your family and friends will keep God in their hearts and that their sorrow be lessened by believing you are with him in his Glory. I'm sad that I hadn't been able to be with you much in the last few years. I will always remember your beautiful smile, your cute little freckles and most of all your loving personality. I remember when Gordy and I came to Colorado on our honeymoon and spent time with your family. You and your sisters and brothers have grown into beautiful adults. I also remember when you all came home to Yankton and we went out and sang karaoke. What fun we had. I hadn't laughed like that in ages. Those are some memories I will cherish always. Good bye Cousin, till we meet again!!

Brenda, To a special cousin that I will cherish always from the time you were little and I would dress you up and do your hair, you were such a pretty little girl. We had fun when I came in the summers to babysit. And not seeing much of you as you grew-up because of the distance between us you were a beautiful person with a heart of gold. You will be on my mind and in my heart always. And I know KayCee and Nate will do OK, because they have you. We Love You. Peace to all of you and my prayers are with you always and forever... Cindy

Brenda, My Dearest Friend!! How can I put into words just how much you have meant to me over the past 24 years...Your My Best Friend, and though we have had our share of ups and downs, tears and joy, break ups and make ups. You will forever be in my heart and often on my mind. Yet now somehow I have to say good-bye...The past 5 months have been some of the happiest for me, it was like we never lost touch and we were back in high school, the way we picked up where we left off and could spend hours on the phone. It seems so unfair, you have given so much to so many for so long, but then you always did. The Lord takes those who give the most home much too soon for those of us left behind still needing you, loving you. You brought so much joy to my life, I'll always remember all the good times we had in FHA, our trip to Julesburg, all the many nights we went coffee shop hopping, drinking too much coffee. Your laughter, Your Smile, Honesty, and your love for life and the people around you will live on through the lives you have touched. As we all take the time to look up to the heavens, we shall see your beautiful face, and we will know in our hearts that you are watching, loving and smiling on us all, until we are joined again. Love You, Susan

Brenda, Thanks for always being there for me and my family. You have been an amazing mother, wife to Nate, and friend to all who have met you. You will be missed by all that you have touched. Your humanity gave me courage, honesty, compassion and laughter. You've made me laugh, cry and appreciate all the ups-downs-ins and outs that life has to offer. I'l never forget the silly, wacked, stupid, conversations/events/moments that we've shared over the course of my life. Thanks for making me eat grass when I was your "horse". Thanks for teaching me how to make a proper "mud pie". Thanks for letting Nate and I fire the cannon in your front yard. But most of all, thanks for all the guidance, advice, love and laughter that you've given to me and my family. You lived the life that you charised, love the people that you cared about and teched us all that we can aspire to be something that is better than than what we are. Your sister, brother, and I the other brother will always remember the times that we had you. My advice to you now... See all the people that have left in front of you. Tell them "Hi" for us. Know that we will take care of Nate and Kaycee. And always know that you are my sister and friend. I will always love you and forever remember my sister Brenda. Love Bob
