Obituary of Paul Frye
Longtime Kanorado, Kansas resident and former Stratton, Colorado resident Paul Franklin Frye passed away on September 3, 2006 at the Park West Plaza in Wichita, Kansas. He was 88 years old.

In 1941, Paul was called to serve his country in the Army with Company I from Burlington. He served during WWII in New Guinea and the Philippines. He eventually was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army.
Paul was very well known in the community because of his two professions. He was the mail carrier people loaded up every Christmas with fruit cakes, homemade canned goods and pastries of all kinds. He also knew how to fix almost anything and the phone was always ringing for him to come and fix a broken furnace or washing machine. If he wasnât working, he was gardening. Paul loved flowers, especially Dahlias. He inherited it from his mom and he passed it down to his children. Also some of the things that he enjoyed were golf, dancing and hunting. He loved to read and learn about things and places. He was extremely intelligent, and if he wasnât reading about something or watching about new medical discoveries or tribes in Africa, then he was having a discussion about it. He had a passion for politics. He had many firery discussions over the president that was in power at the time. Football and baseball were also passions. He never missed a game. WWII left a huge mark on him. He talked about it a lot and always kept in contact with the friends he made until the very end. He loved his family very much.
Paul was a retired mail carrier and a handy man that worked at Winn Hardware; he was a member of the Goodland VFW Post 1133 and the Goodland Elks Lodge 1528.
