Obituary of Emma Davis

Longtime Kit Carson County resident Emma Davis, passed away on September 25, 2006 at her home in Burlington, Colorado. She was 81 years old.
Emma was born on November 29, 1924 in Holly, Colorado to Adam and Eve Behm. She was one of twelve children.
On September 10, 1947 she married Benjamin Davis in LaJunta, Colorado. To this union three daughters were born, Marsha, Rhonda and Kathy.
She was a charter member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington, she was a great cook, and a wonderfully devoted mother and grandmother. She also loved to work in her garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Eve Behm, her husband Benjamin Davis, four sisters and three brothers.
Emma is survived by three daughters Marsha Kravitz and her husband Pat of Colorado Springs, Rhonda Peterson and her husband Gary Allan of Burlington and Kathy Sims and her husband Gary also of Burlington. She is also survived by six grandchildren Matthew Sims and his wife Adriane, Erika Duke and her husband Ryan, Bryant and Parker Peterson and Benjamin and Kaitlyn Kravitz; two great grandchildren Alexa and Brinley Sims; two brothers Henry Behm of Greeley, Colorado and John Behm and his wife Violet of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters Mary Seeley of Ventura, CA and Esther Fester and her husband Jerry of Greeley, Colorado. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Emma were held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ray Wagoner officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, September 29, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Love Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial was held in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington, Colorado.
Memorials may be made in her name and may be left at the First National Bank, Stratton, Colorado.
