Obituary of Virginia Conarty

June Conarty passed away September 3, 2015 after a brief illness following a heart attack. She was 95. She passed away on her parentsÂ’ wedding anniversary. She was born on July 7, 1920 to William Walter Snow and Una Ursula (Hurt) Snow . Una gave birth at home on a farm near Vona, Colorado with a midwife in attendance. June was the first of 3 children. June grew up on a farm in Eastern Colorado. She attended Mount Pearl School through the 8th grade and graduated from Kit Carson High School. She married Edward William Conarty on March 30, 1941 and to this union 3 children were born: Sharon Kay, Barbara June and Walter Charles. They move into their present home at 229 Pawnee Flagler, Colorado in 1948 when Sharon started first grade. June lived in that house until 2012 when she moved to an assisted living home in Colorado Springs to be closer to family. She started working for First National Bank of Flagler in 1950 and retired around 1982 when she turned 62 years old. After retirement she donated her time to working at the Flagler Bargain Shop until around 2009. She worked almost every Friday, something that gave her a lot of enjoyment. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed in 1993 and her parents Walter and Una. She is survived by her sister Mona Steiner and family in Loveland, Colorado, her brother William Snow and family of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and her 3 children, Sharon Edelen (Ron), their children, Candy Donaldson (Phil) and Jason Edelen (Jennifer), Barbara Raps (Ed), their children Andy Jacobs (Karlene), Pam Hudson (Jeff), Tammy Allard (Chris), Jennifer Hall (Will) and Sue Jacobs, her step-children John Raps (Sandra), Christie Gibbs (Jason Hughes) and Connie Balcomb (Lionel), Chuck Conarty (Rainae) their children Tallery Conarty and Molly Porter (Josh). She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
