Obituary of Gerald Flock

Gerald Lee Flock (Jerry) was born at home on December 16th, 1940 north of Bovina, Colorado to Raymond E. and Erma A. Flock. Jerry was the third of seven children. He grew up with his four sisters and two brothers on his parentâs farm north of Arriba.
Jerry died in his home on January 10, 2007 due to advanced rheumatoid arthritis and lung cancer.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Doris Loss and Juanita Buhring and his oldest child, Cindy who, coincidentally died in a car accident on January 10, 2003, exactly four years prior. Jerry will be laid to rest at Arriba next to Cindy.
Jerry is survived by his friend and companion Kathleen Blakeslee, Cindyâs children Ryan Flock, Kasey Frey, wife Jessica Meyers and great granddaughter Lilly Brianna; his son Rusty Flock and Rustyâs daughter Erika; son Daniel and wife Tonya Flock and their children Shayla and step-grandson Johnathan Lamb; daughter Valorie and husband Greg Sanders and children Kyle and Sydney; son Spencer and wife Wendy Flock, Spencerâs daughters Savanna Shae and Charity and step-grandchildren Justicce, Savannah Lee, and Travell. Jerry is also by his brothers Richard Flock, Ray and wife Shirley Flock; sisters Roberta and Charlie Walstrom, Karen and husband Paul Dusatko along with a host of nieces and nephews, and Kathyâs family Tricia and husband Tom Hartung and children Brien, James, Patrick, David, Joseph, Frank, Elisabeth, Georgianna, and Maria; Lennie and wife Kim and children Logan and Reilly.
Jerry will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Jerry were held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Love Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Lee officiating. Burial will be held at the Arriba Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Memorials may be made in Jerryâs name or to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the Bank of the West, Burlington, Colorado.
