Obituary of Norma Lindholm
Norma L. Lindholm, 82, of Loveland and former longtime resident of Burlington, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007 at North Shore Manor in Loveland.
Norma was born March 28, 1924 in Stratton to Julius and Anne Rasmussen, the youngest child of 10 children.
She lived in Stratton until 1947 and attended school there. In 1947 she moved to Burlington with her husband, Hap Bartholomew, and two children, Leroy and Deanna. In 1948, she gave birth to her third child, Marvin.
In 1954, she married Carl Lindholm. She was married to Carl until his death in 1966. In 1969, she married Darold Lindholm; he passed away in 1994.
Norma worked as an LPN for over 30 years both at Kit Carson Memorial Hospital and at Grace Manor Nursing Home in Burlington until her retirement in 1984.
After her retirement Norma continued to be a caregiver for many families in the Burlington area until she retired again at the age of 77.
In 2002 Norma moved from Burlington to Loveland where she lived with her youngest son, Marv Bartholomew and his wife, Dot.
Norma had a wealth of friends in Burlington and made friends easily throughout her life. She also had many friends in Loveland at Trinity Lutheran Church and in the Faith Circle Friendship Club where she was a member.
She is survived three brothers, Julian (Lily) Rasmussen of Julesburg, Milford (Val) Rasmussen of Lamar, and Ralph (Ruby) Rasmussen of Barstow, Calif. and by three children, Leroy (Nelda) Bartholomew of Amarillo, Texas, Deanna Ball of Loveland, and Marv (Dot) Bartholomew also of Loveland, grandchildren, Kristi (Rick) Baker of Windsor, Lance Bartholomew of Denver, Laura Coulson of Texas, Brent Davis of Fort Morgan, Dari Blake of Littleton, Heidi (Chris) Mallow of Westminster, and Tina (Larry) Gregory of Amarillo, Texas along with 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings, sister Roma who died as an infant, sisters Amanda Henderson, Violet Seba, Sylvia Bennett, Freida Sheen and brother, Orval Rasmussen.
Norma was a long time member of the Bethel Assembly Church in Burlington and when she moved to Loveland she became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland.
A memorial service was held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland, Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 at 11 a.m., with funeral and burial following on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington.
Memorial funds have been established in Norma L. Lindholmâs name at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loveland and the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington and may be left at the Bank of Burlington, Colorado.
