Obituary of Joyce Wieser
Joyce Elaine Wieser was born on November 14, 1940, in St. Francis, Kansas to Chester, Sr. and Ruth (Hartman) Wieser. She passed away March 21, 2007, in Burlington, Colorado at the age of 66. She was the oldest of five children.
Joyce lived most of her life in the Idalia area. In 1981, she moved to Burlington with her parents. Dynamic Dimensions Martin House became her home in October 2005.
Joyce was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, which she attended regularly with her family. She took great pride in her work. She enjoyed being with family and friends, bowling, playing BINGO and checkers, as well as riding her horse, âOld Buck.â? She spent many hours listening to music especially Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and also working on her embroidery, which she usually gave away. Her hobby was collecting dolls.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Wieser, and sister, Connie.
Joyce is survived by her father, Chester Wieser, Sr.; brothers, Chester, Jr. and wife, Judy of Kirk; Roger and wife, Trudi of Kirk, and Dean and wife, Susan of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Grant and Amanda Wieser, Joan and Mike Seaman, Pam and Nick Fox, Michael Wieser, Katie Wieser, Lori and Brian Hall, and Dennis and Rebekah Wieser; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held on March 24, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. John United Church of Christ in Idalia with Rev. Chuck Wright and Rev. Ray Wagoner officiating. Interment was at St. John cemetery.
