Sorry to hear of your lose. Mattie & Dorothy did a lot for mom. Visiting, taking her out to eat, and to the fair at Eads. When we moved into the basement s. of town, Mattie put the electricty into it and a yard light, back in 1950. Corky

One of the "Best Neighbors" I've ever had. What a good man! I'm sure Margie would write also but she's in Hongkong with her daughter on a mission trip. Thinking of all of you. May God keep you in the "Hollow of His hand" Love Jerry

Uncle Maddie you will be missed by all. Aunt Dorothy and you have been a blessing to many of us and I will never forget all the good times at the house playing cards. My nick name for you is Grandpa JR, as you remind me so much of him, but you have Grandma's personality. Love and will miss you. Terry

Mom, I think I can get away with this, I have looked up to you and Maddie as being second parents as I grew as a boy and later into manhood. Dot and I are so sorry to hear of Maddie's passing. You two have shared such a long and happy marriage, and you know that you will meet again when the time is right. Our prayer is that you will be happy for him for he is no longer in pain. It is difficult to lose someone you have loved for most of our life. We hope that your memories of Maddie will sustain you during this time. Our deepest sympathy to you. Love, Marv and Dot

Dorothy, Marion, Ellis,Elise and families. Burlington has lost another pillar of her community. Guess I go back with the Stubbs family from pretty close to the day I was born. They have been a large part of my life with many fond memories, from our school days, working with Maddy during summers of my high school years, he and Dorothy were at every school function cheering all of us on. Maddy's great beef stew at the "HOBO" dinners. Won't go into everything Marion and Ellie, myself and others did during our school years together, Elise has always been so precious to all of us. I guess you can say and tell, I have loved the Stubbs Bunch for many a year and over the past several years have been close to Maddy and Dorothy's grandson Jared"Pete"Gile, we have become good friends and he is a talented singer/songwriter and a wonderful young man. Nuff said, our love to all and you are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless, G & L

Marion, Tink, Elise, Duane, Ellis and Jane and families We are so sorry to learn of your dad's passing, and even though you may feel it was a blessing in ways, that doesn't change the fact that you have lost a major figure in your life. It is never easy to lose someone we love, but it is particularly difficult when it is a parent. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. If there is anything that Dot or I can do, please let us know. We would be happy to help in some way. Love, Marv & Dot
