Obituary of Twila Bohl

Longtime Stratton resident, Twila Maryanna Bohl passed away on June 23, 2007 at the Kit Carson County Hospital, at the age of 88.
Twila was born on December 28, 1918 to John and Laura (Lockard) Tryon in Baileyville, Kansas. She was one of four children.
She lived in Stratton from 1922 until about 2 years ago, when she moved to Burlington to Grace Manor Care Center. She was a waitress in the Stratton area at several of the cafes for over twenty years. She also cooked at the school in Seibert, Colorado back in the 1940âs, and she worked on WPA in the sewing room.
Twila enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Site for meals, and also for several years she was a call person for the Senior Citizens. She loved to go and play cards with other seniors.
Twila was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and was a Christian mother. She also loved gardening and raising her four sons.
She met George Huppert and they were married on November 9, 1936 and to this union four sons were born Willard, Wayne, Walt and Wilford. Mr. Huppert passed away on July 12, 1956. She later met Martin Bohl and they were married on December 24, 1962 in Stratton, Colorado.
Mrs. Bohl was preceded in death by her parents John and Laura Tryon, two husbands, George Huppert and Martin Bohl, two sisters, Goldie Edmunds and Lucye Clair and one daughter.
She is survived by her four sons, Willard and his wife Mary Jo of Fort Collins, CO, Wayne and his wife Ann of Hudson, CO, Walt and his wife Debbie of Seibert, Colorado and Wilford and his wife Gertrude of Seibert, CO, 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; one brother Ralph Tryon and his wife Caroline of Fort Collins, CO.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Bohl on Friday, June 29, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Ernest Bond officiating. Burial followed in the Calvary Cemetery, Stratton, Colorado.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a rosary held at 7:00 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made in Twilaâs name to the St. Charles Catholic Church Building Fund and may be left at the First National Bank, Stratton, Colorado.
