Obituary of Frank Toombs

Frank Harlan Toombs, age 65 of Hugo, Colorado passed away Friday August 31, 2007 in Denver, Colorado.
Frank was born on July 11, 1942 in Colville, Washington to Raymond and Blanche (McCarty) Toombs.
Following high school Frank joined the United States Marines in August of 1959 and was honorably discharged in May of 1963.
Frank married Patty McCauley on July 20, 1989 in Leadville, Colorado.
Frank loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He was proud of his Native American heritage as a Nez Perce Indian. He worked in the mines near Leadville and was a Deputy Sheriff for the Lake and Lincoln County Sheriffâs Departments.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
Frank is survived by his wife Patty of Hugo, CO, children Mike and wife Debbie and their son Zachary Hanson of Craig, CO, Travis Toombs of Denver, CO, Debbie and husband Terrance McNicholas and their children James, and Stacy of Leadville, CO, and Candy Ogden and children Erin, Sara, and Mikole of Hugo, CO. One brother Bert and wife Kathryn Biedler of Mt. Clemens, MI, and one sister Geraldean Gordon of Missouri. Also surviving are extended family Fred and wife Renea and their children Eric, Shawn and A.J. Blitzacker of Hugo, CO, Amy and husband Bill Littleton III and their children Anastasia, Beatrice, James, and Newton âFrogâ? of Hugo, CO.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, Colorado.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, Colorado.
