Obituary of Gertrude Huppert

Longtime Seibert, Colorado resident, Gertrude Frances Huppert passed away unexpectedly at the St. Josephâs Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was 57 years old.
Gertrude was born on July 24, 1950 in Flagler, Colorado to Arthur and Dortha (Burton) Niles. She was one of six children.
She attended school in the Seibert School District up through the twelfth grade. On May 11, 1968, she married Wilford Huppert from Stratton, Colorado. They wed at the St. Charles Catholic Church. To this union two children were born; Sharon and Angie.
In their early married life Gertrude and Wilford lived in Stratton and Brighton Colorado. In 1973 they moved back home to Seibert to stay.
Gertrude enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to do all kinds of arts and crafts. She was a talented seamstress who sewed many things for her daughters to wear, throughout their childhood. She also liked to put together quilts, with her Mother, Dortha Niles. She would even enlist the help of Wilford on occasion. She worked for the Seibert School District for several years as a bus driver. She was a Mother figure to every child she knew. She was a woman who liked to go camping and fishing, as well as, shopping and frequent trips to Central City or Las Vegas.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She is survived by her husband Wilford, two daughters Sharon Fadenrecht and her husband Rick of Yuma, Colorado and Angie Huppert of Seibert, Colorado. She is also survived by three brothers; Allen Niles and his wife Marie of Syracuse, Kansas, Fred Niles and his wife Connie of Brighton, Colorado and Raymond Niles and his wife Janice of Seibert; two sisters; Alberta Kenner and her husband Chuck of Dumont, Colorado and Nila Schukar and her husband Ernie of Craig, Colorado. She is also survived by four grandchildren Wade, Darla Codi and Shannon Fadenrecht. As well as: numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends and her âgrand dogs.â?
Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Seibert Community Center in Seibert, Colorado with Pastor Lanny Strohman officiating. There was no visitation, as her wish was to be cremated. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Seibert Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her name and may be left at the First National Bank in Stratton.
