Shirley Beth âGramâ? Paulson age 75, of Calhan passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs.
Shirley Beth was born December 3, 1931 in Colorado Springs to Clifford and Dorothy (Trachsel) Casey.
Shirley Beth married Edward Paulson in Calhan, Colorado on October 23, 1949. To this union three children were born, Carol Ann, Barbara and Casey.
Family was something Shirley Beth held dear to her heart. She loved following her children and grandchildrenâs numerous activities throughout the years. Shirley Beth enjoyed playing moh-jong and bridge with her card groups. Care giving came naturally to Shirley Beth, having aided in the care of family members over the years she was always there to help. Shirley Beth loved animals and being around them. This couldnât be said enough for her loyal sidekicks Ace and Patches who were always by her side. Shirley Beth loved to travel, having made the trip to Alaska several times in her life. Shirley Beth was an avid sports fan especially watching the Broncos.
Shirley Beth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, two brothers Jerry, and Bill Casey, brother and sister in-law Dallas and Tiny Reed.
Shirley Beth is survived by her three children Carol Ann (Dave) Rook of Kiowa, CO, Barbie (Ivan) DeWitt of Anchorage, AK, Casey Paulson of Anchorage, AK. Shirley Beth is survived by her grandchildren Stacy (Anthony) Montes of Ft. Collins, CO, Tracy Rook and fiance Jordan of Ft. Collins, CO and Avery Paulson of Anchorage, AK, she is also survived by one sister in-law Letha Casey of Elbert, CO and her special four legged friends Ace and Patches.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 14, 2007 at the Living Word Community Church in Calhan, CO.
