Obituary of Allen Orcutt
Allen âButchâ? Orcutt age 65 of Rush, Colorado passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Allen âButchâ? Orcutt was born in Colorado Springs on March 31, 1942, to Ernest and Grace Orcutt. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Ann Blasingame, son-in-law Tad Blasingame and grandson Tayten Blasingame, two brothers Frank (Caroline) Orcutt and Dale (Bonnie) Orcutt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch was a rancher, farmer and truck driver. He and his dad raised registered Polled Hereford Cattle.
He served on the Miami-Yoder school board for 18 years. He was a member of the Tri-County Fire Department for many years and also served as fire chief. He was secretary, treasurer, and president of the Western Polled Hereford Association also serving on the sale committee. He served on the Horse Creek Water Userâs Board and was a member or the Holtwood Gun Club and the Pikes Peak Cattlemen.
Butch was an easygoing, patient man until things âcrossed the lineâ? then enough was enough. He always had the right advice and he was never in a hurry to make a decision but in the end, it was always the right one. Butch loved his family. His pride in later life was his grandson Tayten.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday November 30th, 2007 at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, CO with Jerry Allen officiating.
