While in Grand Junction, Anabel worked at a Dry Cleaners and also started her bookkeeping career. She and Warren moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where Warren worked on constructing the Hoover Dam and Anabel continued in the cleaning business and bookkeeping. Another special love of hers was using her talent for handywork, painting, crocheting, ceramics, gardening and canning. The Kit Carson County Fair awarded her many, many ribbons because of the perfection in her work.
She was active in the Rebecca Lodge, advancing to Noble Grand. She enjoyed her trips on the Senior Citizen bus. Her decision to be baptized came late in life, in the Community of Christ Church.
