Obituary of Jessie Brown
Jessie M. Brown 75 of Limon, Colorado went to be with the Lord and loving husband on July 5, 2016 with her loved ones at her side.
Jessie was born on August 21, 1940 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Frank and Ada Adelman one of five children. She was raised in Calhan, Colorado.
On July 21, 1957 Jessie married Leonard L. Brown Sr. They shared over fifty five years of marriage until his passing on February 1, 2011. The couple was blessed with four children. The family lived in Colorado Springs and the Denver areas for a short time before settling in Limon in 1974 where they made their home.
Jessie enjoyed gardening and she was an extreme Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies fan. Everyone that knew Jessie knew to not bother her during her game days. She was a loving and very caring person, especially her four legged animals which she considered her children as well. She was a housewife, friend, and a cook with excellent culinary skills. She worked at Dolly Madison in Commerce City, Colorado, Coleman’s, The Pastry Hut and Napa all in Limon, Colorado.
Jessie is proceeded in death by her father, Frank Adelman; her mother, Ada Adelman; a brother Bill Adelman and the love of her life, husband Leonard L. Brown, Sr.
Jessie is survived by her children; Nancy Walberg of Athens, Texas, Sharon Brown of Limon, Colorado, Leonard “Lennie” Brown, Jr. of Marion, Michigan and Leroy Brown of Brush, Colorado; two brothers, Norman Adelman of Oregon and Stanley Adelman of Colorado; a sister, Catherine Millard of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and adopted children and grandchildren.
