Obituary of Scott Parks

Scott Edward Parks of Strasburg, Colorado passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 17, 2017 in Parker, Colorado. Scott was 46 years old. Born November 26, 1970 to parents Keith E and Shari P (Marino) Lakin, Scott was loving adopted and raised by Eugene W Parks and married to Shari for 32 years. Scott was one of two siblings. He graduated from Littleton High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1989. Before and after high school Scott loved his numerous cooking jobs at many different restaurants including his father's. Scott married Lisa (Byrns) Parks on March 17, 1990 in Littleton Colorado. The couple was blessed with three children; Amber, Jeremy and Paige. Over the years, Scott enjoyed playing the drums in several different garage bands. The highlight of his experience was joining other bands as they played together in a yearly Jam Camp. Scott also enjoyed camping and fishing, and being with his family having a good time! He and his family had just returned from a trip to Mexico. Scott had also just recently travelled to Arkansas to spend time with family there. Scott got to enjoy going to a Metallica concert with his Son and Best Friend Daniel. Scott was a kind and gentle soul, he was quiet but he was the life of the party. You could always find Scott jamming out to rock n roll playing his air drums! Scott got to enjoy 2 sweet years of being a grandpa to his granddaughter Averi. He was blessed with a granddog named Cooper who he enjoyed buying and different treat for him each week, for their Tuesday night ritual. When a helping hand was needed you could find Scott right there to help. He was so proud of his children and granddaughter you could always find him capturing the moment with a photo, once Scott came into the twenty first century by getting an Ipad and shortly after got an iPhone. Scott will be loved and greatly missed by all but will never be forgotten. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his mother and Keith Lakin Scott is survived by his father, Gene Parks of Littleton Colorado; son, Jeremy Parks of Strasburg Colorado; daughters, Amber (Dustin) Stum and their daughter, Averi, of Hugo, Colorado and Paige Parks of Strasburg Colorado; Sister Kim (Andy) Creger and family of Littleton Colorado as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and close friends.
