Obituary of Maxine Elaine Woodard
Maxine Elaine (Campbell) Woodard passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and loved ones on April 16, 2017. Maxine entered the world on May 17, 1939, in Denver, Colorado.
Maxine graduated from Agate High School in 1957 before she met and married the love of her life, Frank Woodard, on April 14, 1958. Together they raised four children and a Limousin and commercial cowherd on the Woodard Ranch near Agate, Colorado.
In her later years, Maxine lived by following her grandchildren closely, keeping up with their activities. Maxine was an avid puzzle master—buzzing through the most difficult of puzzles with the greatest of ease. She also enjoyed bird watching and growing both flowers and vegetables.
Maxine is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years Frank Woodard, along with her four children Jesse Woodard (wife Kimberly) of Olney Springs, Colorado, Rodger Woodard (wife Patty) of Calhan, Colorado, Susan Doke (husband Fritz) of Goodland, Kansas, and Sherri Woodard (husband Hillis Yarian) of Limon, Colorado. Maxine is also survived by three grandchildren, Jared Doke (wife Kaleigh), Josh Doke, and Cassidy Woodard, and one great-grandchild, Liam Doke.
In honor of Maxine's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at the family ranch on a later date.
