Obituary of Judith (Kramer) Hadley
Judith Yvonne Kramer-Hadley, age 60, of Fresno, Texas, passed away December 7, 2016 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Judy was born in Denver, Colorado on November 15, 1956 to the late Norman Kramer, and Betty Kramer now of Bethune, Colorado. Judy was valedictorian of her graduating class at Bethune High School. She attended one year at Colorado State University. Judy married Gerald Whipple of Limon, Colorado in January of 1981. They were blessed with the birth of two sons, Gerald II in October of 1981 and Johnathan in January of 1986. Judy enjoyed staying home with her two sons throughout their childhood and later joined on as the part time bookkeeper of the Catholic Churches in Limon, Hugo, and Flagler. She also served as a member of the Pastoral Council of the Diocese of Colorado Springs. In addition to, Judy was a strong advocate for the Donor Alliance after receiving a liver transplant in January of 1997. Judy and Gerald divorced in 2006.
Two years later, Judy met John Hadley while living in Fruita, Colorado. She and John were united in marriage on May 29, 2009, and blessed in the Catholic Church on May 29, 2014. Judy and John lived in Denver, Colorado, Richland, Washington, Missouri City, Texas and lastly in their current home of Fresno, Texas. Up to the time of her passing, Judy loved working as an office manager and consultant for dental practices in both Colorado and Washington. She enjoyed time at the beach with her husband, John, cooking, baking, and having people over. Many meals were lovingly made for her thankful priests and guests.
Her liver transplant gave Judy several more years of life, of which her family and friends are forever grateful! She embraced her Catholic faith and everyone will miss her strength and passion for life. Judy was preceded in death by her father Norman Kramer. She is survived by her mother, Betty Kramer, loving husband, John Hadley, son Gerald Whipple II (wife Brittany and son, Jameson), Johnathan Whipple (fiancé Kayla), stepsons Craig Hadley (wife Krista) and Nicholas Hadley (wife Rachel). Judy is also survived by two sisters, Kate Jenkins (husband Carl), sister Pam Mills (husband Tony), and many nephews.
With that, a special thank you to the family who donated Judy’s transplant—your gift gave us much more time with our beloved Judy!
