It's not so much how my friend Cledys D. Moore died, but more importantly how he lived. He lived a long, full, productive life. And he left behind an AWESOME legacy!!! A tough act to follow!!! Like countless thousands of youngsters growing up during the frontier days, those pioneering years. Back in the days when the mode of transportation was mainly horse drawn Conestoga, covered wagons. And all the farming was done by real horse power, be it a two, four, six or the popular eight hitch...all the way up to a twenty four hitch team of ...horse power!!! Beginning at the age of fourteen or younger to help his father harness and hitch up all the horses for a particular operation must have been quite a chore, morning and night, for a boy his age...for how many years?!!! I pay tribute to the memory of a very dear friend and neighbor whom I was privileged to meet and get acquainted with while attending high school at Simla Colorado 1948-52, as well as all the years that followed until I left Colorado in 1999. Cledys D. Moore was a man to look up to, to respect and admire. He was the type of person that never met a stranger all of his life!!! God Bless his wife Janet and all his family to whom I extend my most profound deepest heartfelt sympathy in the passing of this great man!!! Lyle B (Corky) Schmeiser Orlando Florida
