Obituary of Winifred Ingram
Longtime Stratton, Colorado resident Winifred June Ingram passed away at the Porter Select Hospital in Denver. She was 85 years old.
Winifred was born on October 17, 1922 in Brewster, Kansas to Sherman and Eva (Sexton) Kemp. She was one of four children.
On August 5, 1941 Winifred married Thaine Leland Ingram at the Methodist Parsonage in Goodland, Kansas. To this union four children were born; Roy, Dorothy, Terry and Ted.
Winifred attended the Stratton Church of God. In her spare time she enjoyed doing word searches, playing dominoes and visiting with family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed going to the Bible Studies at the Bee Hive, and she always had a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Dorothy Ingram, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons Roy Ingram and his wife Jane of Morrill, NE and Ted Ingram and his wife Paula of Tacoma, Washington and one daughter Terry Ingram of Littleton, Colorado. She is also survived three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ingram were held on Wednesday, April 16 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Stratton Church of God with Pastor Dustin Sells officiating. Burial followed in the Claremont Cemetery in Stratton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Love Funeral Home in Burlington.
Memorials may be made in Winifredâs name to the Winifred Ingram Scholarship Fund and may be left at the East Colorado Bank and Trust in Stratton.
