Obituary of Gordon Hatfield
Longtime resident of Seibert, Colorado, Gordon Leslie Hatfield was called home by our Lord on June 11, 2008 doing what he loved, working with his horses. Gordon was 67 years old.
Gordon was born on October 19, 1940 to Harry Lyle and Vivian Pauline (Clay) Hatfield in Dodge City, Kansas.
Gordon attended Seibert Schools graduating from Seibert High School in 1959.
On December 20, 1958 Gordon married Patsy Jo Corwin in Peetz, Colorado. To this union four children were born: Danise Gay, Denise Ray, Gordon Cary, and Michelle Lynn.
Most of Gordonâs life was spent in self employment of one form or another; farmer, rancher, business owner. He always said âhe enjoyed what he did, if he didnât, he didnât do it again.â?
Gordon truly was a lover of animals, an avid horse and dog breeder; however nothing lit up his eyes like his children, grandchildren, and his great grandson.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Vivian Hatfield, an infant daughter Denise Ray, a brother Michael Duane Hatfield and a grandson Lyle Nelson Hatfield.
Gordon is survived by his wife Patsy Jo, his daughter Danise and her husband Steve Miller of Vona, Colorado, his son Cary and his wife Lynda Hatfield of Argyle, Texas, his daughter Michelle and her husband William Bailey of Castle Rock, Colorado, eight grandchildren: grandsons Cory and Sean Arnold of Vona, Colorado, granddaughter Gwen (Hatfield) and her husband Justin Sterenberg of Carrollton, Texas, grandson Jacob and granddaughter Kay Hatfield of Argyle, Texas, granddaughter Amanda and grandson Douglas Bailey of Castle Rock, Colorado, and one great grandson Scott Lyle Sterenberg of Carrollton, Texas.

There was no visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Seibert Cemetery in Seibert, Colorado.
