My memories of Doc go way back. My fist memory is shortly after he and his lovely wife moved to Burlington. He was working with a model airplane in the yard at the little house across the street from the Floyd Court Motel. Tommie Knapp and I were playing together at the court where Tommie's parents worked. We heard the engine running and invited ourselves to get up close. From that moment I considered Doc my friend. I think I was 10 at the time. The wonderful times we shared water skiing at Bonny and working on our boats are precious to me. Later when my wife Phyllis came into my life, she promptly fell in love with the boys. She taught them all in grade school music. She constantly came home to the ranch telling me what wonderful boys they were and are. We loved your whole family and share your saddness at Doc's passing. We drove over Cottonwood pass a couple of weeks ago to Taylor Res and commented about how much Doc loved your time at the Cabin there. It was very nice to run into Buddy at real estate classes and renew memories. Good luck to you all. Don & Phyllis Bishop
