MRS. STEWART WAS ONE OF MY GREATEST TEACHERS. SHE TOOK ME ASIDE WHEN I WAS IN 11TH GRADE AND GAVE ME EXTRA HELP WITH MY ENGLISH. I WILL NEVER FORGET HER. I THINK OF HER OFTEN. I KEEP A PICTURE OF HER I FOUND ON-LINE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AN MY DESK FOR EXTRA ENCOURAGEMENT TO CONTINUE MY COLLEGE EDUCATION. I GRADUATED IN 1975 AND STILL THINK OF HER AND WHAT SHE WOULD HAVE SAID TO KEEP MY EDUCATION GOING. YOU HAVE ALL MY SYMPATHIES. I WILL MISS HER A LOT. SHE WAS A FANTASTIC TEACHER AND A VERY LOVING PERSON

I recently retired from 25 years of teaching English and can say with no hesitation that ALL of the grammar I know, I learned from "Ma" Stewart. I can't even imagine how many lives have been touched by her; my sympathy and love to her family.

Evelyn was one of my favorite residents at Prairie Creeks. I will miss her sense of humor and the devilish twinkle she had in her eyes. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

May you cherish the precious memories of your remarkable Mother and Grandmother. Evelyn was an amazing English and American Literature teacher. Through her teaching and talent for drama, she brought our American heritage alive making what could have been a dull subject seem exciting and wonderful. Back in the 1950s, she allowed the kids in her kitchen to make her fabulous, tantalizing and aromatic "Million Dollar Fudgea? recipe while the adults played cards. She was Special! I was not lucky enough to have "Ma Stewart" as a teacher in school. She retired a couple of years before I would have had her. However I did get to spend time with her when she came back to school to eat with the senior citzens. From that I have many fond memories of her. Sincere Sympathy to the entire family. Brenda
