Betty Jean Patton, age 62 of Genoa, Colorado passed away December 1, 2008 in Denver, CO.
Betty was born November 23, 1946 in Denver, CO to George Franklin and Alberta Imogene (Johnson) Sage. Betty graduated from Lakewood High School in 1964.
Betty married Donald K. Patton Jr. on February 12, 1965 in Denver, Colorado. To this union five children were born. Betty and Donald moved to Genoa in 1980. Betty attended the Hugo United Methodist Church and was a member of the Genoa Womenâs Club. She enjoyed gardening, scrap booking, crafts, bowling, camping, cake decorating, NASCAR, and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was a big Garth Brooks Fan.
Betty is survived by her husband Donald of Hugo, CO, her children; Cindy Hopka of Genoa, CO, Tim and wife Aimee and their children Sadie and Cheyanne Patton of Genoa, CO, Dan and wife Jackie and their son Weston Patton of Hugo, CO, Mike and wife Candy and their children Destiny, Connor, and Laci Patton of Genoa, CO, and Jenny and husband Matt and their son Braylon Collier of Simla, CO, one brother Royal and wife Anita Sage of Westminster, CO, and one sister Diana and husband Kenneth Sterling of Hugo, CO. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and mother-in-law Juanita Patton.
Memorial services will be held Friday December 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hugo United Methodist Church in Hugo with Pastor Ben Wentworth officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Hugo, Colorado.
