Gene and family, Joan and I would like to acknowledge your wife and mother's passing and express our sympathies to all of you. As a boy your home was one of the few that I always felt so comfortable in. I remember two things in particular. One was when you guys built that rope bridge from the tree house across the yard. The other was your mother being so gracious when we came back from a Boy Scout campout at Crystal Springs with all these little bitty fish we had caught and your mother helped us cook them. I was so impressed that she did that so willingly. We were so muddy. I can't believe she let us in the house, let alone so cheerfully help us cook those little critters. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you over the coming weeks and months.

Joyce was such a fun, full-of-life person when I knew her best! She always made me laugh. I remember her at the piano...at church, in her home, dragging her little portable keyboard here & there to give us music. She was a great hostess and many fun times were enjoyed in the "Clark Cantina" where food, drink & friendship came together! She always assured me that she was "the best dancer there" no matter where we were. She wrote a poem for our Church newsletter years ago that was titled "Life, What Are You?" in which she likened her life to the four seasons, filled with joy and change. It ended with "You know, I think I'll have another go at all the seasons. Next year, I'll be a knock-out." She always was and is today as well, I'm sure, in the presence of her Lord.

What a wonderful woman! I have many special memories of Joyce - probably too many to list here. But I will certainly miss being greeted with, "Hey lady, you sure are a special kid!". Gene and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm sending you a lot of love and hugs from miles away.

Such wonderful memories of this excellent pianist who could build beautiful chords and transitions and make them exceptional. I love the joy and happiness she shared.

My deepest sympathies to the Clark family. My parents, T.M. and Glenda have both passed. Mom passed in November and probably needed a golf partner. I have many cherishable memories of Joyce.
