I am so sorry for your loss, for everyone's loss. Kelly was an amazing friend, to me and to everyone. We had so much fun over the years, when our brothers were on the shooting team and all this the time after that. I didn't realize until I heard she passed away that she was even sick. I haven't kept in very good contact with her, or with anyone, since I graduated and moved away last May. I hadn't gotten to really hang out with Kelly much the last few years--every time we tried to make a plan one of us was always "too busy". But if I could have one wish come true today it would be to spend one more day with your beautiful daughter, and one of my good friends. It really makes you realize that there might never be tomorrow, there might not be a "next time." I'm very sorry I won't be able to make it tomorrow and tell you all of this myself. I loved Kelly very much, and I love the both of you.

She had the personality of a butterfly. Was wonderful at everything she did. It is hard to even think that she has passed, but I and we all know she is in a better place now. But she helped me through a lot and she never treated me like the other kids did, and I wish I could have seen her once last time. Mrs. Bode, What delightful and special children you have. Kelly girl was so precious and loved especially by my sister Jodi Rarick and her family as you know. What you might not know is how special Kelly was to me too! You see I got to meet Kelly for the first time when she was just a little girl on one of my visits from AZ to CO and this started the telling of Kelly Girl adventures, often when I would call to talk to Jodi she would tell me the latest adventures she and Kelly girl had shared and sometimes Kelly was hanging out and I would get to listen to her laughing in the background. Through the years as the kids grew up occasionally I would see Kelly when I visited and I got to see what a beautiful young woman she was growing to be, I will miss her and her special light in this world! I have been lucky enough to meet your son Chris too and I know he is also a special guy and a good friend to my nephew Markus, I am glad you and Chris have each other to hold on too. My heart goes out to both of you and I will keep you in my prayers, please know you are not alone and that love is a bridge that always keeps us connected to those we love in this world and the next.
