Dear Caren and family, I was saddened to hear of Helen's death. I took lesson from her for many years and loved her so much. Over the years I had many piano teachers but your Mother was my favorite. Her recitals were the wonderful. However, I was always so nervous. She asked me one time when I wanted to play, in the afternoon or evening. I said evening so I couldn't see the people. She told the audience that and they all got a chuckle out of that. She was the best and I will always remember her fondly. Jean McDougall

Dear Caren & family: We were deeply saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Helen most certainly held a position of great respect among the people in Limon. It is unbelievable the number of lives she touched. She was active and involved in so many community activities that it is hard to imagine anything there that would not contain her presence or influence. We will forever be grateful for her help and guidance to us in so many ways. We will fondly hold our memories in our hearts. We hope that you can find comfort in knowing that she lived a long and lovely life and deeply touched so many lives. She will be missed. Sincerely, Don and Bobbie Weber

Caren, We share many wonderful memories of Helen. She was so graceoius and vibratious she never seemed to run out of energy. We'll always remember the New Years Day "Tom and Jerry" parties hosted by Christensens and Stones in honor of the Limon Fire Department. She will be missed. With Our Sympathy Dave and Bev

Dear Caren and family, I started lessons with Helen, which she demanded her students call her, when I was in 2nd grade (8 years old). Chris Ann Fisher and I were driven from Genoa to Limon on alternate weeks by our mothers. We even missed 1/2 day of school. I continued until my junior year in high school. My daughters Heidi and Heather both took lessons from her.I am eternally grateful for the love of the piano and classical music she instilled in me. My father saw my love for the piano after practicing at friends' houses because we rented in the winter in Limon and were unable to move our old upright piano to Limon. Money was scarce, but one day a man had a load of repossessed pianos headed for Denver, my dad bought one. I was in 6th grade. I never stopped playing it, and I still have it. I am 63 years old. Thank you Helen.

Shirley and I wish to extend our heartfelt sorrow to all Helen's friends and family. Like so many others, I owe my introduction to music to Helen's patience and dedication to her many piano students.
